We are passionate about providing unique events for the special needs community, including our monthly discos for children between 4 and 19 years old, and our walking group for parents and carers.

Founded by 4 mums of special needs children, we are dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for children with special needs to enjoy themselves through sensory play, disco music, and atmosphere.

We also provide support for parents and carers, through signposting and information of what help is available.

Our goal is to empower special needs children and their families to be able to find inclusion in every area of life. We are proud to be located in the Derbyshire area and offer a range of services, including monthly discos, craft clubs, swim sessions, and soft play sessions. Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community is able to enjoy life to the fullest.

Sensory Swim Session at Victoria Leisure Park in Ilkeston, 12th May 1pm-2pm

Fun sensory swim sessions for all ages and abilities at Victoria Park leisure centre sensory pool, Ilkeston. Come, immerse yourself in the magic of movement and the melody of water at SENDisco’s sensory swim sessions!

Parent / Carer Walking Group,
14th May

Our walk this month is from Alfreton Park , Wingfield Rd. The walk starts at 10.30hrs. The walk is approximately 3miles and will last approximately 1.5 hours. The route consists of paths and trails. There may be some muddy parts, so walking boots are advisable.
Parking area is on the left side as you drive up towards the new school .

SENDisco Monthly Disco, Blackwell Community Centre, 17th May 5pm-7pm

Step into the rhythm of joy at SENDisco’s Monthly Disco! Every third Friday, we transform Blackwell Community Centre into a vibrant haven where children aged 4 to 19 can let loose and groove to their heart’s content. Our upcoming event is on April 19th from 5 to 7 pm—a perfect time for young ones to shake off the week’s routine and dive into a world of fun!
